Mr. Lydick introduced House Resolution No. 6, as follows:

A Resolution providing for the preparation of a General Appropriation Bill.

"Be It Resolved, by the House of Representatives of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Oklahoma,

"That the Committee on Appropriations of the House of Representatives is hereby requested, authorized and directed to prepare and submit to this House on or before the thirty-ninth day of the session, a general appropriation bill, which bill shall include so far as possible and, in the opinion of said Committee, practicable, all appropriations of money which should be made by the Eighth Legislative Assembly."

Upon motion by Mr. Lydick to suspend the rules and pass the resolution to its second reading, the vote to suspend the rules on roll call resulted: Ayes: Ballinger, Becker, Bone, Bryan, Craig, Daniels, Ferris, Fuller, Gayman, Hogg, Ingmire, Levy, Logan, Lydick, Maxwell, McBride, Noffsinger, Prouty, Robinson, Ross, Taylor, Walker, Woods, Mr. Speaker, 24; nays: Gandy, 1; absent: Jester, 1.

Upon motion by Mr. Ross the House resolved itself into a committee of the whole for the purpose of considering bills on the calendar. The Speaker called Mr. Daniels to the Chair.

The Committee of the Whole arose and reported that House Bill No. 41 be made a special order for Wednesday, February 1, at 2 o'clock P. M.; that on House Bill No. 54 report progress be reported and leave asked to sit again; on House Bill No. 60 progress reported and leave asked to sit again. The report of the committee was adopted.

Upon motion by Mr. Becker the House adjourned.

AFTERNOON SESSION.

The House reconvened with the Speaker in the Chair.

Upon motion the House resolved itself into a committee of the whole for the purpose of considering House Bill No. 58, Special Order; the Speaker invited Mr. Daniels to take the Chair.

Upon motion by Mr. Ross, House Bill No. 60 was ordered engrossed and placed upon its third reading and final passage.

The Speaker declared the bill passed and the entitling and enacting clauses agreed to.

Mr. Gandy explained his vote, stating that if House Bill No. 30 is passed, it will create an extra expense, and taxes are heavy enough, therefore he voted "No."

Mr. Maxwell explains his vote, saying that he voted "aye" with the understanding that any one who has prairie dogs and cares to do so may keep them.

Mr. McBride explains his vote, saying that in his country it would make a great expense to undertake to exterminate prairie dogs, as there is a lot of Indian land on which are found prairie dogs, therefore he voted "No."
