Proceedings of the House of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Oklahoma.

FIRST DAY

Guthrie, Oklahoma Territory,

Tuesday, January 10, 1905.

This being the day fixed by law for the convering of the Territorial Legislative Assembly, and the hour of 2 o'clock P. M. having arrived, those declaring themselves elected members of the House of Representatives of the Eighth Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Oklahoma met in the Hall designated by the Secretary of the Territory as "Representative Hall."

W. W. Noffsinger declaring himself a member-elect, called the House to order.

Mr. Gandy of Woodward Conuty placed Frank G. Prouty of Lincoln County in nomination for temporary chairman. He was unanimously elected.

J. P. Becker of Grant County was elected temporary secretary. The chairman declared the temporary organization of the House of Representatives to be complete and perfected.

As provided by law, a committee of five was appointed on credentials, as follows: Mr. Gandy of Woodward County, Mr. Ross of Woods. County, Mr. Lydick of Cleveland County, Mr. Taylor of Noble County, Mr. Robinson of Greer County.
