The local bookseller can add half as much again to his holiday trade by properly calling the attention of the public to his goods. For this purpose the best means is the circulation of a handsome and interesting pamphlet like the CHRISTMAS NUMBER, which has been pronounced by the German Book Trade Magazine," the most attractive publication of its kind issued in the bookproducing countries. It is received with pleasure by those to whom it is given or sent as itself a picture-book of no little value, and its descriptions of, and illustrations from books, at once arouse the desire to purchase the books themselves.

For the accommodation of the retail trade, cheap (thin paper) editions will be supplied, with dealers' imprints (as in the "Literary News"), as follows:

These prices may be subject to slight modification, in case the number proves smaller or larger than last year's.

The regular (thick paper) edition of the Christmas Number (without imprint) will be supplied for distribution as follows:

SINGLE COPIES (post-paid),

25 CTS. PER 100 COPIES,

$15.00

In order to avoid delay, it is absolutely necessary that copy for imprint, together with full directions for forwarding, should accompany the remittance.
