O GOOD JESUS, my Saviour, how can I thank Thee enough for all that Thou hast done and suffered for me! Oh, wash away all my sins in Thy PRECIOUS BLOOD! Teach me to take up my cross daily, and follow Thee now in patience and obedience, that I may be pardoned and saved in the Day of Judgment, for Thy Merits' sake. AMEN.

On SUNDAYS say before the LORD's Prayer,

O BLESSED JESUS, Who on the first day of the week didst rise from the dead, raise me, I pray Thee, from the death of sin, to a life of righteousness. Keep me from all vain, hurtful thoughts whilst in Thy House of Prayer, this day. Bless to the good of my soul, those means of grace of which by Thy mercy I am a partaker, so that when I die, I may be received into

Thy Heavenly Kingdom, there to praise and glorify Thee for ever. AMEN.

Our FATHER, Which art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done in earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil; For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory, For ever and AMEN.

May GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON, and GOD the HOLY GHOST, be with us all, this day and for evermore. ΑΜΕΝ.

If you can, before beginning the day's work, read one or more verses of the Gospels, on your knees, praying for God's HOLY SPIRIT to

make you understand them and profit by them. Remember that it is JESUS who speaks to you; lay up His Words in your heart, to think over again and again during the day.

AT NOON.

Think of JESUS crucified at the sixth hour of the day, and say,

"O SAVIOUR of the world, Who by Thy Cross and PRECIOUS BLOOD, hast redeemed us, save me, and help me, I humbly beseech Thee, O LORD!"

Then say the LORD'S PRAYER, Our FATHER, &c.

If

you cannot say these prayers kneeling, say them standing, or whilst you are at your work. If we pray devoutly with our whole hearts, wherever we are, GOD will hear us.

GRACE BEFORE MEALS.

Bless, O LORD, these Thy creatures to our use, and sanctify us to Thy service, for CHRIST's sake. AMEN.

GRACE AFTER MEALS.

For these and all His mercies, the LORD'S Holy Name be praised. AMEN.

DEVOTIONS FOR BED-TIME.

When you enter your chamber for the night, drive away all worldly thoughts, and fix your mind upon GOD and heavenly things.

Try to prepare for prayer, by saying a hymn or a few verses of the Psalms to yourself.

Begin your Evening Devotions by repeating the APOSTLES' CREED.

"I believe in GOD the FATHER Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth. And in JESUS CHRIST His only SON, our LORD; Who was conceived by the HOLY GHOST, born of the Virgin Mary; Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead and buried, He descended into hell; The third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into Heaven, And sitteth on the Right Hand of GOD, the FATHER Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the HOLY GHOST; The Holy Catholic Church; The Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of Sins; The Resurrection of the Body, And the Life Everlasting. AMEN."

Afterwards say,

O LORD, keep me steadfast in this faith,
