XII. This Ordinance shall come into force at the beginning of the first academic year or first Summer Session, whichever be the earlier, after the date on which itis approved by His Majesty in Council; and, subject as aforesaid, the provisions of the Ordinance of the said Commissioners, No. 40 [General No. 12Regulations for the Degree of Bachelor of Law (B. L.)] are hereby revoked."

FEES.

The fee for the LL.B. Examination is £9 9s., payable in three instalments of £3 3s. on each entry for examination.

The fee for the B.L. Examination is £7 17s. 6d., payable in three instalments of £2 12s. 6d. on each entry for examination.

In the case of both Degrees the fee for re-examination is £1 1s. for each subject, and for entry to examinations by nonmatriculated candidates £1 1s.

SUBJECTS OF EXAMINATION FOR DEGREES IN LAW.

In Civil (Roman) Law.—In addition to the Class Lectures, the Books mentioned under "Synopsis of Classes."

In the Law of Scotland. In addition to the Class Lectures the books recommended are Gloag and Henderson's "Treatise" and Anderson's "Criminal Law".

In Conveyancing.—In addition to the Class Lectures, the Books and parts of Books mentioned under "Synopsis of Classes ".

In Constitutional Law and History.-The Class Lectures, and books mentioned in outline of course.

In Jurisprudence.-The Class Lectures, Holland's "Jurisprudence," and Salmond's "Jurisprudence".

In Political Economy.-The subjects of examination for the Degree of M.A.

In Forensic Medicine.-The Class Lectures. Apart from General Toxicology, the examination on poisons will be confined to the Mineral Acids and other corrosives: Phosphorus, compounds of Arsenic, Antimony, Mercury, Silver and Lead; Coal Gas; Hydrocyanic Acid and Cyanides; Oxalic Acid and Oxalates; Carbolic Acid and Coal-tar disinfectants; Alcohol, Chloral; Veronal and allied Soporifics; Cocaine; Opium, Belladonna, Aconite, Nux Vomica; Cantharides.

In International Public Law.-The Class Lectures.
In International Private Law. -The Class Lectures.

In Procedure and Evidence.-The Class Lectures, Balfour's Court of Session Practice, Lewis' Sheriff Court Practice, Kirkpatrick's Digest of Law of Evidence and Lewis' Law of Evidence. In Mercantile Law.-The Class Lectures and books recommended by the Lecturer.
