The Regulations relative to Graduation in Arts are embodied in University Court Ordinance No. 24; Aberdeen No. 2, and in a Scheme of relative Regulations drawn up by the Senatus with consent of the University Court. The text of Ordinance No. 2 and of the relative Regulations will be found below. The classes in the Faculty of Arts are open to women; and women may also graduate in Arts, in accordance with the regulations contained in Ordinance No. 18 of the Universities Čommissioners (see p. 401 of Calendar, 1893-4). As from 1st October, 1928, New Regulations come into force under which the following four subjects are compulsory: (1) Latin or Greek, (2) English or another Modern Language, (3) Logic or Moral Philosophy, (4) A conjoint course in Mathematics and Natural Philosophy. * CURRICULA FOR THE M.A. DEGREE. On or before the first day of his first term every student must state, on a form provided for the purpose, the subjects he proposes to study in the ensuing Academical year, and also those selected by him for the completion of his curriculum, for the approval of the Faculty. Any subsequent alteration of the approved curriculum must be submitted to the Official Advisers through the Secretary. I.-REGULATIONS FOR THE ORDINARY M.A. DEGREE. 1. REGULATIONS REMAINING IN FORCE UNTIL 30th SEPTEMBER, 1928, ONLY. (1) A candidate for the Ordinary Degree must present himself for Examination in five subjects selected from at least three of the following Departments of Study : The Academical year commences on the 1st day of October. It includes at least twenty-five teaching weeks, and is divided into three periods or terms (Winter, Spring and Summer). |
