MID-LENT

IN

MISSION

St. Ann's Chapel,

Clinton St., near Livingston, Brooklyn.

"The Spirit and the Bride say
COME."

Continuous services will be held in St. Ann's Chapel, God willing, beginning on Monday, March 27, and terminating on Saturday, April 1, constituting what is known as a Parochial Mission.

The seats in the Chapel are FREE, and a welcome is extended to ALL of whatever Christian names, and especially to those who have not yet made Christ their friend.

The Services will be as follows, viz. :

Every day at 5 P. M. Topic-The approach to Christ.

Every night at 8, except Saturday, when there will be only a 5 P. M. Service. Topic-The realization of Christ.

Thursday at 7, instead of 8 P. M.

Wednesday and Friday at 12 M., the Litany and Holy Communion.

These Services will be conducted by the Rector and Assistant Minister, and will be limited in time to 45 minutes, while some will be still shorter.

The method of these meetings will be entirely missionary. The order will consist of Prayers, Hymns, and Addresses in frequent alternation. Mr. R. S. True will act as precentor.

Interviews for private instruction are solicited by the Pastor with those who are looking to Christ, even though they feel far off as yet; also with all who are commencing or pursuing the Christian life under peculiar difficulties.

Opportunities for private conference and prayer will be offered before or after any of the Services, or from 11 to 12 A. M. daily, in the Rector's study, or at other times and places by appointment.

The earnest coöperation of advanced Christians is urgently requested in three ways

1. In holding up the hands of God's minister by personal attendance at ALL the services of the Mission.

2. In active efforts to secure the frequent attendance of those who are members of their families,—and others among their acquaintance who "have no hope," and are "without God in the world."

3. In daily, importunate and faithful prayer for the out-pouring of the Holy Ghost upon the Mission.

The Pastor invites requests for special prayer, which can be sent to him through the Letter Box at the Chapel door.

The Hymns to be used will be printed on slips and distributed in the pews. Tracts for general use and circulation will be on the vestibule bracket and in the seats.

As the expenses of the Mission are assumed by the Pastor, trusting to the kindly coöperation of his fellow-worshippers, it is hoped that every one on coming in or retiring from the Chapel, at each service, will deposit some offering to the Lord in the alms-chests in the vestibule, thus making the act of worship complete by giving of substance as well as of soul.

Short treatises upon Confirmation and other subjects pertaining to the religious life, will be freely given or loaned upon application to the Pastor.

This Mission is mainly designed as a special gospel-venture in behalf of those who are crossing the dangerous ground that lies between childhood and maturity, the flexible years of youth.

Christian Brethern, pray for us and work with us, that the young men and maidens may come to know the beauty of holiness as portrayed in Christ Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
