A PROCLAMATION.

VICTORIA, R.

WHEREAS Our Parliament stands prorogued to Tuesday the seventh day of January instant; We, with the advice of Our Privy

Council, do hereby publish and declare, that the said Parliament shall be further prorogued, on the said seventh day of January instant, to Thursday the sixth day of February next; and We have given order to Our Chancellor of that part of Our United Kingdom called Great Britain to prepare a Commission for proroguing the same accordingly and We do hereby further, with the advice aforesaid, declare Our royal will and pleasure, that the said Parliament shall, on the said Thursday the sixth day of February next, assemble and be holden for the dispatch of divers urgent and important affairs: and the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses, and the Commissioners for Shires and Burghs of the House of Commons, are hereby required and commanded to give their attendance accordingly, at Westminster, on the said Thursday the sixth day of February next.

Given at Our Court at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, this sixth day of January, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, and in the twentyfifth year of Our reign.

PRESENT,

The QUEEN'S Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

WHEREAS by the Act of Uniformity, which establisheth the Liturgy, and enacts, that no Form or Order of Common Prayer be openly used other than what is prescribed or appointed to be used in and by the said Book, it is notwith

standing provided, that in all those Prayers, Litanies, and Collects which do anywise relate to the King, Queen, or Royal Progeny, the names be altered and changed from time to time, and fitted to the present occasion, according to direction of lawful authority: Her Majesty was pleased this day in Council to declare Her Royal Will and Pleasure, that in all the Prayers, Litanies, and Collects for the Royal Family the words "Albert Edward, Prince of Wales" be inserted instead of the words "Albert, Prince of Wales."

And Her Majesty doth strictly charge and command, that no edition of the Common Prayer be from henceforth printed but with this amendment; and that in the meantime, till copies of such edition may be had, all Parsons, Vicars, and Curates within this realm do (for the preventing of mistakes), with the pen, correct and amend all such prayers in their Church Books, according to the foregoing directions: And for the better notice hereof, that this Order be forthwith printed and published, and sent to the several parishes; and that the Right Reverend the Bishops do take care that obedience be paid to the same accordingly. The QUEEN'S Most Excellent Majesty in Council.

IN pursuance of an Act passed in the tenth year of Her Majesty Queen Anne, and of another Act passed in the thirty-second year of His Majesty King George the Third, wherein provision is made for praying for the Royal Family in that part of Great Britain called

Scotland; it is ordered by Her Majesty in Council that henceforth every Minister and Preacher in Scotland shall, in his respective church, congregation, or assembly, pray in express words,

"For Her Most Sacred Majesty Queen Victoria, "Albert Edward, Prince of Wales, and all "the Royal Family."

of which all persons concerned are to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.

The QUEENS' Most Excellent Majesty in Council was pleased to order, that from and after the 31st day of January, 1862, the County Court of Cheshire, known by the name of "The County Court of Cheshire," holden at Runcorn, shall cease to be holden at Frodsham, in the county of Chester.

WHEREAS by an Act of Parliament, passed in the session of Parliament, holden in the sixth and seventh years of Her Majesty's reign, intituled "An Act to remove doubts as to the exercise of power and jurisdiction by Her Majesty within divers countries and places out of Her Majesty's dominions, and to render the same more effectual," it is amongst other things enacted, that it shall be lawful for Her Majesty to hold, exercise, and enjoy any power or jurisdiction which Her Majesty now hath, or may at any time
