A copy of this constitution is contained in United States Charters and Constitutions, Part I, p. 956, where it appears that it was framed by a convention which met at Boston, Sept. 1, 1779 and adjourned Mar. 2, 1780. The constitution was submitted to and ratified by the people.

The 1st 9 amendments were ratified by the people Apr. 9, 1821.
The 10th amendment was ratified by the people May 11, 1831.
The 11th amendment was ratified by the people Nov. 11, 1833.
The 12th amendment was ratified by the people Nov. 14, 1836.
The 13th amendment was ratified by the people April 6, 1840.

The 14th to 19th amendments were ratified by the people May 23, 1855.
The 20th to 22d amendments were ratified by the people May 1, 1857.
The 24th and 25th amendments were ratified by the people May 7, 1860.
The 30th and 31st amendments were ratified by the people Nov. 4, 1890.
The 32d and 33d amendments were ratified by the people Nov. 3, 1891.
The 38th and 39th amendments were ratified by the people Nov. 7, 1911.
