ALL hail the great Immanuel's Name!
Ye angels, prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Crown Him, ye martyrs of our God, Who from his altar call; Extol the stem of Jesse's rod,
And crown Him Lord of all.
Ye saints, redeem'd of Adam's race, Ye ransom'd from the fall,
Hail Him, who saves you by his grace, And crown Him Lord of all.
O that with yonder sacred throng fall;
We at his feet may
Join in the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all!
AWAKE, and sing the song Of Moses and the Lamb;
Wake every heart and every tongue, To praise the Saviour's Name.
Sing of his dying love,
Sing of his rising power; Sing how He intercedes above,
For those whose sins He bore.
Sing on your heavenward road Ye ransom'd sinners sing; Rejoice ye in the Lamb of God, In Christ th' eternal King.
Soon shall we hear Him say, Ye blessed children, come; Soon will He call us hence away To our eternal home.
Then shall our raptur'd tongues His endless praise proclaim; And sweeter voices swell the song Of Moses and the Lamb.
MIGHTY God, while angels bless Thee, May a sinner praise thy Name? Lord of men as well as angels, Thou art every creature's theme; Lord of every land and nation, Ancient of eternal days!
Sounded through the wide creation Be thy just and lawful praise.
Brightness of the Father's glory, Shall thy praise unutter'd lie? Shun my tongue such guilty silence, Sing the Lord who came to die : Come, return, immortal Saviour! Come, Lord Jesus, take thy throne; Quickly come, and reign for ever, Be the kingdom all thine own.
GLORY to God on high! Let heaven and earth reply; Praise ye his Name:
His love and grace adore, Who all our sorrows bore; Sing aloud evermore,
Worthy the Lamb.”
Join, all ye ransom'd race, Our Lord and God to bless; Praise ye his Name:
Tell what his arm hath done; What spoils from death He won ; Sing his great Name alone;
Worthy the Lamb."
Let all the hosts above Join in one song of love, Praising his Name;
To Him ascribed be Honour and majesty,
WITH hearts in love abounding, Prepare we now to sing
A lofty theme, resounding Thy praise, Almighty King! Whose love, rich gifts bestowing, Redeem'd the human race; Whose lips, with zeal o'erflowing, Breathe words of truth and grace.
So reign, O God, in heaven, Eternally the same; And endless praise be given To thine Almighty Name! Cloth'd in thy dazzling brightness Thy Church on earth behold, In robe of purest whiteness, In raiment wrought with gold. And let each Gentile nation Come gladly in her train, To share thy great salvation, And join her grateful strain : Then ne'er shall note of sadness Awake the trembling string; of joy and gladness The ransom'd world shall sing.
PRAISE the Lord; ye heavens adore Him; Praise Him, angels, in the height; Sun and moon, rejoice before Him; Praise Him, all ye stars and light: Praise the Lord, for He hath spoken, Worlds his mighty voice obey'd; Laws which never shall be broken, For their guidance hath He made. Praise the Lord, for He is glorious, Never shall his promise fail; God hath made his saints victorious, Sin and death shall not prevail : Praise the God of our salvation;
Hosts on high, his power proclaim; Heaven, and earth, and all creation, Laud and magnify his Name.
YE boundless realms of joy, Exalt your Maker's fame, His praise your song employ Above the starry frame; Your voices raise,
Ye cherubim And seraphim,
To sing his praise.
Thou moon, that rul'st the night, And sun, that guid'st the day, Ye glitt'ring stars of light, To Him your homage pay; His praise declare,
Ye heavens above,
And clouds that move
In liquid air.
Let them adore the Lord, And praise his holy Name, By whose almighty word They all from nothing came: And all shall last
From changes free; His firm decree
Stands ever fast.
His chosen saints to grace, He sets them up on high,
And favours Israel's race, Who still to Him are nigh: O therefore raise
Your grateful voice, And still rejoice The Lord to praise !
