There is neither speech nor language; but their voices are heard among them.

:

Their sound is gone out into all lands and their words into the ends of the world.

In them hath He set a tabernacle for the sun : which cometh forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a giant to run his

course.

It goeth forth from the uttermost part of the heaven and runneth about unto the end of it again : and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

Glory be to the FATHER, and to the SoN: and to the HOLY GHOST;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

Antiphon. As long as I live will I magnify Thee in this manner, and lift up my hands in Thy name.

Benediction. Blessed are those that be undefiled in the way, and walk in the law of the LORD.

Lesson.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. If sinners entice thee, do not thou consent unto them. These six things doth the LORD hate. Yea, seven are an abomination unto Him. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed

innocent blood, a heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

My son, keep thy father's commandments and forsake not the law of thy mother. In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. Keep innocency and do the thing that is right, for that shall bring a man peace at the last.

All. Thanks be to God.

V. Thy testimonies are my delight, O Lord, and my counsellors.

R. Oh give me understanding, that I may learn Thy commandments.

Lauds when the Creed is said, otherwise the Thanksgiving which follows.

Antiphon. Blessed are they that dwell in Thy

house.

Psalm.

O praise God in His holiness: praise Him in the firmament of His power.

Praise Him in His noble acts: praise Him according to His excellent greatness.

Praise Him in the sound of the trumpet: praise

Him upon the lute and harp.

Praise Him in the cymbals and dances : praise Him upon the strings and pipe.

Praise Him upon the well-tuned cymbals : praise Him upon the loud cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath: praise the LORD.

Glory be to the FATHER, and to the Son and to the HOLY GHOST;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

Antiphon. Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house. They will be always praising Thee.

Lesson.

One or more of the Beatitudes to be used at discretion of the Master.

:

:

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn : for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of GOD. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake for their's is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.

All. Thanks be to GOD.

V. Make me to go in the path of Thy commandments.

R. For therein is my desire.

I believe in God the FATHER Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:

And in JESUS CHRIST His only SON our LORD, Who was conceived by the HOLY GHOST, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried, He descended into hell; The third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the FATHER Almighty: From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the HOLY GHOST; The Holy Catholic Church; The Communion of Saints; The forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body, And the life everlasting. Amen.

Or, the following form of Praise and Thanksgiving.

V. O Blessed GOD, FATHER of mercies, Who hast sent Thy SON to redeem us from wrath :

R. We adore Thee, we bless Thee, we praise Thee, we magnify Thee for ever.

V. O Blessed JESUS Who wert the price of lost mankind, and gavest Thyself a sacrifice for our

sins;

R. We adore Thee, we bless Thee, we praise Thee, we magnify Thee for ever.

V. O Blessed SPIRIT, proceeding from the FATHER and the SoN, Who didst come into the world to sanctify and to teach, to illuminate and to guide Thine elect;

R. We adore Thee, we bless Thee, we praise Thee, we magnify Thee for ever.

V. O most blessed and mysterious Trinity, FATHER, SON, and HOLY GHOST;

R. We adore Thee, we bless Thee, we praise Thee, we magnify Thee for ever.

V. It is indeed truly just, right, and fitting to praise and to glorify, to worship and adore, to thank and to magnify Thee, the great Maker of all creatures, visible and invisible, the treasure of all good, temporal and eternal; The fountain of all life, mortal and immortal; The LORD and Giver of all things in heaven and earth; The merciful FATHER of all. We do desire to thank Thee for Thy gracious preservation of us during the night past: For Thy special mercies commemorated this day: For special mercies vouchsafed unto this family (here specify any): For special mercies vouchsafed unto any of the members thereof.

(Here let silence be observed a short space, that each may for himself lift up his heart in thankful adoration for any special benefit.)
