"The book of Hymns, published under the sanction of the Association for Discountenancing Vice, &c., has my full approval. I think it most desirable that there should Le a standard selection issued with the authority of the heads of the Church, that the clergy who are in the habit of using hymns might feel they had an authorized edition.

"A selection has been lately published in my own diocese with my approval; but as I feel the value of uniformity in all portions of the services of our Church, I have no hesitation in recommending this Hymn Book now pub

lished by the Society to those of my clergy who wish to use hymns, as I understand that many of my Right Rev. Brethren have, with the same view, given it their recommendation.
