NOTHING IS TOO GOOD FOR THE CHILD

TWO WORTHY ADDITIONS TO OUR CLASSICS
FOR THE CHILDREN

THE DUMAS FAIRY TALE BOOK

Edited and translated by H. A. SPURR. With four colored plates and other illustrations by Harry Rountree. Size 81/4x534 inches full cloth with color jacket. Net $2.50

Few people know that Dumas wrote any fairy stories. Some of the stories once appeared in a paper which he entitled "La Mousquetaire" about sixty years ago, and after that they were lost. At the end of the last century, they were discovered again, translated into English, and were actually in type in London, when the publisher went bankrupt. All the type and moulds were then sold to Warne's and for years they reposed in their cellars, forgotten and unnoticed. One day last Spring, going through a mass of stuff which had been stored away this buried treasure was found and the present publication is the result.
