WHO are these in bright array,
This innumerable throng,
Round the altar night and day,
Singing one triumphant song?

Out of great distress they came,
Clad in robes of purest white,
Sealed with the Almighty name,
Strong in their Redeemer's might.

Therefore are they next the throne,
Serving God by day and night,

Where He dwells among

In eternity of light.

His own,

Joy they have that never dies,

Love that knows not fear have they;

And for ever from their eyes

God shall wipe all tears away.

Glory to the Father be,

Glory to the only Son,

Glory to the Holy Ghost,

Ever blessed Three in One.

PSALM XCIII.

WITH glory clad, with strength arrayed,
The Lord, That o'er all nature reigns,
The world's foundations strongly laid,
And the vast fabric still sustains.

How surely stablished is Thy throne,
Which shall no change or period see!
For Thou, O Lord, and Thou alone,
Art God from all eternity.

The floods, O Lord, lift up their voice,
And toss the troubled waves on high;
But God above can still their noise,

And make the angry sea comply.

Thy promise, Lord, is ever sure;

And they that in Thy house would dwell,

That happy station to secure,

Must still in holiness excel.

PSALM CXLVIII.

YE boundless realms of joy,
Exalt your Maker's fame,
His praise your song employ
Above the starry frame;
Your voices raise,
Ye cherubim
And seraphim,

To sing His praise.

Thou moon, that rul'st the night,
And sun, that guid'st the day;
Ye glitt'ring stars of light,
To Him your homage pay.
His praise declare,

Ye heav'ns above,

And clouds that move
In liquid air.

Let them adore the Lord,
And praise His holy name,
By whose Almighty Word
They all from nothing came;
And all shall last

From changes free;

His firm decree

Stands ever fast.

To God the Father, Son,
And Spirit, ever blest,
Eternal Three in One,
All worship be addrest;
As heretofore

It was, is now,
And shall be so
For evermore.

THE CANTICLES,

MARKED FOR CHANTING.

GLORY be to the Father, and to the | Son: and to the Holy | Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever | shall be world | without | end. : A men,

Venite, exultemus Domino. Psalm xcv.

O COME, let us sing unto the Lord : let us heartily rejoice in the strength of our sal- |

vation.

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving and show ourselves | glad in | Him with Psalins.

For the Lord is a great God and a great | King above all gods.

In His hand are all the corners

of the earth: and the strength of the | hills | is His | also.

:

The sea is His, and He made it and His hands prepared | the dry | land.

O come, let us worship, and fall down : and kneel before the | Lord our | Maker.

:

For He is the Lord our God and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.

To-day if ye will hear His voice, harden | not your hearts as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation | in the | wilderness;

When your fathers tempted Me : proved | Me and saw My | works.

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation and said: It is a people that do err in their hearts, for they have not | known My ways.

Unto whom I sware. in My | wrath: that they should not enter | into My rest.

Te Deum laudamus.

WE praise | Thee, O God we acknowledge | Thee to be the Lord.

All the earth doth | worship | Thee the | Father ever lasting.

To Thee all Angels | cry a loud: the Heavens, and all the Powers there | in.

To Thee Cheru | bin, and | Seraphin: con- | tinually do | cry,

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God | of Sa- | baoth;

Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty : 0. ....... f Thy | Glory.
