mon prayers and Service in and by the faid Book appointed to be read for that time of the day, and then and there publickly and openly declare his affent unto, and approbation of the faid Book, and to the use of all the Prayers, Rites and Ceremonies, Forms and Orders, therein contained and prescribed, according to the Form before appointed in this A&t; And also shall upon the Grit Lefture-day of every month afterwards, fo long as he continues Lecturer, or Preacher there, at the place appointed for his faid Lecture or Sermon, before his faid Lefture or Sermon, openly, publickly, and folemnly read the Com mon-prayers and Service, in and by the fait Book appointed to be read for that time of the day, at which the said Lecture or Sermon is to be preached, and after fuch Reading thereof, shall openly and publickly, before the Congregations there affembled, declare his unfeigned aflent and confent unto, and approbation of the said Book, and to the use of all the Prayers, Riies, and Geremonies, Forms and Orders therein contained and prescribed, according to the Form aforefaid; and, That all and every fuch perfon and perfons, who fhall neglect or refufe to do the fame, fhall from thenceforth be difabled to Preach the faid, or any other Lecture or Sermon, in the faid, or any other Church, Chapel, or place of publick worship, until fuch time as he and they fhall openly, publickly and folemnly Read the Common-prayers and Service appointed by the faid Book, and conform in all points to the things

s therem appointed and preferbed, according to the purport, true intent and meaning of this Act. A

Provided always, That if the said Sermon or Lecture be to be preached or read in any Cathedral, or Collegiate Church or Chapel, it fhall be fufficient for the faid Lecturer openly at the time aforefaid. to declare his affent and confent to all things contained in the faid Book, according to the Form aforefaid.

And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any person who is by this A&t disabled to preach any Lecture of Sermon, fhall, during the time that he fhall continue and remain so disabled, preach any Sermon or Lecture, That then for every fuch offence the perfon and perfons fo offending shall suffer Three months Imprisonment in the Common Gaol, without Bail or Mainprize, and that any two Juftices of the Peace of any County of this Kingdom and places aforesaid, and the Mayor or other chief Magirate of any City, or Town Corporate, within the fame, upon Certificate from the Ordinary of the place made to him or them of the offence committed, fhall, and are hereby required to commit the perfon or perfons fo offending to the Gaol of the County, City or Town-Corporate accordingly.

Provided always, and be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, "That at all and every time and times, when any Sermon or Lecture is be preached, the Common-prayers and Ser

Provided nevertheless, That this A&t fhall not extend to the University Churches in the Univerfities of this Realm, or either of them, when or at fuch times as any Sermon or Lecture is preached or read in the fame Churches, or any of them, for, or at the Publick University-Sermon or Lecture; but that the fame Sermons and Lectures may be Preached or Read in fuch fort and manner as the fame have been heretofore Preached or Read; This Act,or any thing herein contained to the contrary thereof in any wife notwithstanding buss ya And be it further enacted by the Authority aforesaid, That the feveral good Laws, and Statutes of this Realm, which have been formerly made, and are now in force for the Uniformity of Prayer and Adminiftration of the Sacraments, within this Realm of England, and places aforefaid, shall stand in full forceband:ftrength to all intents and purposes whatfoeyer,ibr the etablishing and confirming of the faid Book¶intituled, "The Book of Common.prayer, and Admini"ftration of the Sacraments and other Rites "Sand Ceremonies of the Church, according to pay edi al Twomblodne&, spic? to usb-flow the

according to the use of the Church of Eng"land; together with the Pfalter, or Pfalms of "David, Pointed as they are to be fung or faid in Churches; and the Form and Manner of "Making, Ordaining, and Confecrating of Bi66 fhops, Priests, and Deacons," shall, at the cofts and charges of the Parishioners of every ParishChurch, and Chappelry, Cathedral Church, College, and Hall, be attained and gotten before the Feaft-day of Saint Bartholomew, in the year

of our Lord, One thousand fix hundred fixty and two, upon pain of forfeiture of Three ponnds by the month, for fo long time as they fhall then after be unprovided thereof, by every Parish, or Chappelry, Cathedral Church, College, and Hall, making default therein.

Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the Bishops of Hereford, Saint Davids, Afaph, Bangor, and Landaff, and their Succeffors, fhall take fuch order among themselves, for the fouls health, of the Flocks committed to their charge within Wales, That the Book hereunto annexed be truly and exFactly Tranflated into the British or Welsh Tongue, and that the fame fo tranflated, and being by them, or any three of them at least, viewed, perufed, and allowed, be Imprinted, to fuch number at least, fo that one of the faid Books fo tranflated and Imprinted, may be had for every Cathedral, Collegiate, and Parish Church, and Chapel of Eafe in the faid relpective Dioceses, and places in Wales, where the Welsh is commonly spoken or uled, before, the first day of May, One thoufand fix hundred fixty five; and, That from and after the Imprinting and publishing the faid Book to Tranflated, the whole Divine Service shall be used and fard, by the Minifters and Curates throughout all Wales, within the laid Dioceles where the Weith Tongue is commonly used, in the British or Welsh Tongue, in fuch manner and form as is prefcribed accord: ing to the Book hereunto annexed to be used in
