ROSS, The report was adopted. Chairman. Mr. Speaker: The Committee on Compensation of Public Officers report and recommend that House Bill No. 127 do pass; House Bill No. 119 do not pass. H. WOOD, Chairman. Mr. Becker moved that in as much as the printer had left House Bill No. 61 off of the calendar, it be placed upon the Calendar under the General Order of business. The motion carried. Mr. Noffsinger moved, that in as much as there are so many bills to be considered, in order to give the Committees time to work, the House adjourn until 2 o'clock P. M., Saturday, January 28. Mr. Walker moved to amend by adjourning until Monday at 10 o'clock. Mr. Gandy moved to substitute for all motions pending, that the House adjourn until 2 P. M. this afternoon. Mr. Becker moved as a substitute that when the House do adjourn, it adjourn until 10 o'clock Saturday. Motion carried. Mr. Hogg offered House Resolution No. 7, which was read the first time, as follows: Be it Resolved by the House of Representatives of the Eighth Legislative Assembly for the Territory of Oklahoma. Whereas, by Council Concurrent Resolution No. 1, passed by the House on January 19, 1905, the President of the Council and the Speaker of the House are authorized and directed to enter upon and into a contract, on the part of the Territory, for the printing of the Eighth Legislative Assembly: Whereas: This matter involves the expenditure of many thousands of dollars of the money of the tax payers of this Territory, and the people of the Territory and their Representatives, in this House, are entitled to know what prices are being paid for this printing: Now, Therefore, be it resolved by the House of Representatives that the Speaker of this House be requested and directed to make a report in writing to the House on or before the first day of February, 1905, and in this report to fully set forth what, if anything, has been done by the Honorable President of the Council and the Honorable Speaker of the House by virtue of the authority given them under Council Concurrent Resolution No. 1, and if a contract has been made to set up in his report a full copy thereof, and to include in said report a copy of the contract heretofore made by the Secretary of Oklahoma Territory with the State Capital Printing Company, which last contract was mentioned in said Council Concurrent Resolution No. 1, and the price fixed therein made the maximum price to be paid under the contract authorized to be made by the President of the Council and the Speaker of the House, on the part of the Territory.
