The Lady of the Lake

Sir Walter Scott's epic narrative poem, comprised of six cantos and set in Scotland's Trossachs. The poem tells three main stories: the competition between Roderick Dhu, James Fitz-James, and Malcolm Graeme for the love of Ellen Douglas; the feud between James Douglas and King James V; and a war between the highland clans and the lowland clans.
