PSALM 27.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?: The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh: They stumbled and fell.

Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: In the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me; He shall set me upon a rock.

And now shall mine head be lifted up:
Therefore will I offer in His tabernacle

When Thou saidst, seek ye my face: My heart said unto Thee, Thy face, Lord will I seek.

Teach me Thy way, O Lord: And lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: For false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

I had fainted: Unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

Wait on the Lord: Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.

PSALM 30.

I will extol Thee, O Lord; for Thou hast lifted me up: And hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried unto Thee: And Thou hast healed me.

O Lord, Thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: Thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of His: And give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness.

For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favor is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

And in my prosperity I said: I shall never be moved.

Lord, by Thy favor Thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide Thy face, and I was troubled.

I cried to Thee, O Lord: And unto the Lord I made supplication.
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit?:

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord, be Thou my helper.

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: Thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

To the end that my glory may sing praise to Thee, and not be silent: 0 Lord, my God, I will give thanks unto Thee forever.

PSALM 32.

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven: Whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity: And in whose spirit there is no guile.

When I kept silence: My bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.

For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me: My moisture is turned into the drought of summer.

I acknowledged my sin unto Thee: And mine iniquity have I not hid.

I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord: And Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.

For this shall every one that is godly pray unto Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found: Surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

Thou art my hiding place; Thou shalt preserve me from trouble: Thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way. which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.

Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: Whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.

Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: But he that trusteth in the Lord, mercy shall compass him about.

Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, ye righteous: And shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.

PSALM 42.

So panteth my soul after Thee,

When shall I come and ap

As the hart panteth after the water-brooks: O God.

My soul thirsteth for God; for the living God: pear before God?

My tears have been my meat day and night: While they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?

When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: For I had gone

with the multitude.

I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise: With a multitude that kept holy day.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God: For I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance. O my God, my soul is cast down within me: Therefore will I remember Thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.

Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of Thy waterspouts: All Thy waves and Thy billows are gone over me.

Yet the Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime: And in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.

I will say unto God my Rock, Why hast Thou forgotten me?: Why go I moaning because of the oppression of the enemy?

As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me: While they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?

me?

Why art thou cast down, O my soul: And why art thou disquieted within

Hope thou in God: For I shall yet praise Him who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

PSALM 43.

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

For Thou art the God of my strength, why dost Thou cast me off?: Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

O send out Thy light and Thy truth, let them lead me: Let them bring me unto Thy holy hill, and to Thy tabernacles.

Then will I go nigh unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: Yea, upon the harp will I praise Thee, O God, my God.

me?

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within

Hope in God: For I shall yet praise Him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

PSALM 46.

God is our refuge and strength: A very present help in trouble.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed: And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled: Though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.

There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God: The holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

The Lord of hosts is with us: The God of Jacob. is our refuge.

Come, behold the works of the Lord: What desolations He hath made in the earth.

He maketh wars to cease unto the ends of the earth: He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; He burneth the chariot in the fire.

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

The Lord of hosts is with us:

The God of Jacob is our refuge.

PSALM 48.

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: In the city of our God, in the mountain of His holiness.

Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion: On the sides of the north, the city of the great King.

God is known in her palaces: For a refuge.

For, lo, the kings were assembled: They passed by together.

They saw it, and so they marvelled: They were troubled, and hasted away. Fear took hold upon them there, and pain: As of a woman in travail.

Thou breakest the ships of Tarshish: With an east wind.

As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever.

We have thought of Thy loving-kindness, O God: In the midst of Thy temple.

According to Thy name, O God, so is Thy praise unto the ends of the earth: Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad: Because of Thy judgments.

Walk about Zion, and go round about her: Tell the towers thereof.

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces: That ye may tell it to the generation following.

For this God is our God forever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.

PSALM 51.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Thy loving-kindness: According unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity: And cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: And my sin is ever before me. Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight: That Thou mightest be justified when Thou speakest, and be clear when Thou judgest.

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity: And in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts: And in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Make me to hear joy and gladness: That the bones which Thou hast broken may rejoice.

me.

Hide Thy face from my sins: And blot out all mine iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O God: And renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Thy presence: And take not Thy Holy Spirit from

Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation: And uphold me with Thy free Spirit.

Then will I teach transgressors Thy ways: And sinners shall be converted

unto Thee.

Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, Thou God of my salvation: And my tongue shall sing aloud of Thy righteousness.

O Lord, open Thou my lips: And my mouth shall show forth Thy praise. For Thou desirest not sacrifice, else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt-offering.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.

Do good in Thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build Thou the walls of Jerusalem.

Then shalt Thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burntoffering, and whole burnt-offering.. Then shall they offer bullocks upon Thine altar.

PSALM 67.

God be merciful unto us, and bless us: And cause His face to shine upon

That Thy way may be known upon earth: Thy saving health among all nations.

Let the people praise Thee, O God: Let all the people praise Thee.

O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: For Thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth.

Let the people praise Thee, O God: Let all the people praise Thee.

Then shall the earth yield her increase: And God, even our own God, shall bless us.

God shall bless us:

And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.

PSALM 84.

How amiable are Thy tabernacles:

O Lord of hosts!

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: My heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young: Even Thine altar, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.

They will be still praising Thee.
In whose heart are the ways

Blessed are they that dwell in Thy house:
Blessed is the man whose strength is in Thee:

of them.

Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well: The rain also filleth the pools..

They go from strength to strength: Every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.

O Lord of hosts, hear my prayer: Give ear, O God of Jacob.

Behold, O God our shield: And look upon the face of Thine Anointed. For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand: I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

O Lord of

For the Lord God is a sun and a shield: The Lord will give grace and glory. No good thing will He withhold from Them that walk uprightly: hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in Thee.

PSALM 86.

Bow down Thine ear, O Lord, hear me: For I am poor and needy. Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O Thou my God, save Thy servant that trusteth in Thee.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord: For I cry unto Thee daily.

Rejoice the soul of Thy servant: For unto Thee, O Lord, do I lift up my

soul.

For Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive: And plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon Thee.
