In presenting Vol. IV., Part I, of the New History of Surrey to the Subscribers,
the Proprietor begs to announce that, in order to hasten the completion of the
Work, he has commenced printing the 3rd and 4th Vols. conjointly; con-
siderable delay having hitherto occurred in procuring local information, and
obtaining a return of Proofs from parties to whom, for the sake of accuracy,
it has been deemed advisable to submit them.
