An Order of the Poor Law Board to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the part of the parish of Reigate termed the Foreign of Reigate, in the county of Surrey, and to all others whom it may concern, dated the 24th day of June, 1856, directs that so much of the Act 13th and 14th Vict., c. 57, as relates to the appointment of a vestry clerk shall forthwith be applied to and be put in force within the said part of the parish of Reigate.

THE Queen has been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under the Great Seal, granting the dignity of a Knight of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland unto Valentine Fleming, Esq., Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Tasmania.

The Queen has also been pleased to direct letters patent to be passed under the Great Seal, granting the dignity of a Knight of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland unto Dominick Daly, Esq., Lieutenant-Governor of Prince Edward Island.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend Francis Hole, junior, Master of Arts, to the vicarage of Broad Hempston, in the county of Devon, and diocese of Exeter, void by the death of the Reverend John Pitman.

The Queen has also been pleased to present the Reverend John Adam Macfarlane to the church and parish of Kinlochbervie, in the presbytery of Tongue, and county of Sutherland, vacant by the death of the Reverend Robert Clarke.
