W.S. --At the Manse of Killearn, the Reverend James Graham, minister of that parish, in the eighty-sixth year of his age, and fifty-fourth of his ministry, This truly venerable man was born near Dunblane, in Perthshire, and received the first rudiments of education in the public school of that town, under Mr William Coldstream, a respectable teacher, and the instructor of many Scotch clergymen. He afterwards attended the University of Glasgow, and was latterly one of the few survivors of that body of divines who were formed under the justly-celebrated Dr Leachman. In 1768 he became minister of Killearn, in Stirlingshire, and, during the long period of his incumbency, discharged the duties of a parochial clergyman with a zeal, fidelity, and assiduity, which have been seldom equalled, and never surpassed. 16.
