His praise declare,
Ye heavens above,
And clouds that move
In liquid air.

3 Let them adore the Lord,
And praise His holy Name,
By whose Almighty word
They all from nothing came;
And all shall last,
From changes free;
His firm decree
Stands ever fast.

PRAISE the Lord! ye heavens, adore Him;

Praise Him, angels, in the height: Sun and moon, rejoice before Him, Praise Him, all ye stars and light. Praise the Lord! for He hath spoken, Worlds His mighty voice obeyed: Laws which never shall be broken

For their guidance He hath made.

2 Praise the Lord! for He is glorious;
Never shall His promise fail:
God hath made His saints victorious,
Sin and death shall not prevail.
Praise the God of our salvation;
Hosts on high His power proclaim:
Heaven, and earth, and all creation,
Laud and magnify His Name.

PRAISE ye the Lord,
Prepare your glad voice,

His praise in the great
Assembly to sing :

In our great Creator

Let Israel rejoice;
And children of Sion
Be glad in their King.

Let them His great Name

Extol in the dance;

With timbrel and harp
His praises express;
Who always takes pleasure
His saints to advance,
And with His salvation

The humble to bless.

By angels in heaven,
Of every degree,

And saints upon earth,
All praise be addressed,
To God in Three Persons,
One God ever blest,
As it hath been, now is,
And always shall be.

L. M.

PRAISE the Lord in that blest place, From whence His goodness largely flows: Praise Him in heaven, where He His face Unveiled in perfect glory shews.

2 Praise Him for all the mighty acts
Which He in our behalf hath done:
His kindness this return exacts,
With which our praise should equal run.

3 Let all that vital breath enjoy,

The breath He does to them afford,
In just returns of praise employ:
Let every creature praise the Lord.

4 To Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,

The God whom heaven and earth adore, Be glory, as it was of old,

Is now,

and shall be evermore.

HYMNS.

MORNING.

AWAKE, my soul, and with the sun

Thy daily stage of duty run;

L. M.

Shake off dull sloth, and joyful rise
To pay thy morning sacrifice.
2 Thy precious time mispent redeem;
Each present day thy last esteem;
Improve thy talent with due care;
For the great day thyself prepare.
3 Let all thy converse be sincere ;
Keep conscience as the noontide clear;
Think how all-seeing God surveys
Thy secret thoughts, thy works, and ways.
4 Wake, and lift up thyself, my heart,
And with the angels bear thy part,
Who all night long unwearied sing
High praise to the eternal King.

LL praise to Thee, who safe hast kept, And hast refreshed me while I slept; Grant, Lord, when I from death shall wake, I may of endless life partake.

2 Lord, I my vows to Thee renew;
Disperse my sins as morning dew;
Guard my first springs of thought and will,
And with Thyself my spirit fill.

3 Direct, control, suggest, this day,
All I design, or do, or say:

That all my powers, with all their might,
In Thy sole glory may unite.

4 Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!

EW every morning is the love

L.M.

Our wakening and uprising prove,

Through sleep and darkness safely brought,
Restored to life, and power, and thought.

2 New mercies, each returning day,
Hover around us while we pray ;
New perils past, new sins forgiven,
New thoughts of God, new hopes of heaven.

3 If, on our daily course, our mind

Be set to hallow all we find,

New treasures still, of countless price,
God will provide for sacrifice.

4 The trivial round, the common task,
Will furnish all we ought to ask;
Room to deny ourselves; a road
To bring us daily nearer God.
