On Festival days, or on any Sunday except during Lent, the following (I. or II.) may be sung instead of “AU glory be to Thee, Most High."

The Minister, turning to the Altar, shall read on Sundays and Festival Days the proper Collect. On special occasions one of the folloroing may be used:

O Lord God, Heavenly Father, Thou Who hast no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that they turn from their way and live; we pray Thee that Thou wouldst mercifully avert the punishment that our sins deserve, for the sake of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Or: We beseech Thee, Almighty God, Heavenly Father, to grant us a true faith, a firm hope in Thy mercy, and a sincere love to our fellow-men, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
