We have compiled, as far as obtainable, brief biographical sketches of the members of this Convention, knowing that all information on the subject will be eagerly sought for, as they were gentlemen of worth, respectability and talents. It is a subject of regret that no competent historian undertook the preparation of a sketch of all the members, at the time the body was in session, as such a work would have been of great value and interest. We have supplied this need, to some extent, at least, in these sketches; drawing freely from all accessible sources, but in most instances have been unable to procure full data on the subject, and in many no information at all, which circumstance is to be deprecated as these details relative to such worthy and distinguished characters are not only desirable, but are important and educative.
