1776. Constitution; a copy of this constitution is contained in United States

Charters and Constitutions, Part I, p. 273, where it is said:

This constitution was framed by a convention which assembled at Newcastle, August 27, 1776, in accordance with the recommendation of the Continental Congress that the people of the colonies should form independent state government. It was proclaimed September 21, 1776."

1792. Constitution; a copy of this constitution is contained in United States

Charters and Constitutions, Part I, p. 278, where it is said:

This constitution was framed by a convention which met at New Castle in June, 1792, and it was put in operation without having been submitted to the people.”
