MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION
For expenses of maintenance and operation of which $1,500 may be available for the purchase or exchange of automobile or automobiles and $2,000 for traveling outside the state.. On or before June 15, 1925, the division of laboratories and research shall file with the governor, the chairman of the senate finance committee and the chairman of the assembly ways and means committee a tentative segregation of the amount hereby appropriated. Before any moneys shall be paid out of this fund, such segregation shall have their approval and no change shall be made in this tentative segregation during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1925, without their approval.
Contingency which may be expended for personal service and maintenance and operation. Any part of the appropriation hereby made, in the discretion of the director of the laboratory in co-operation with the division of child hygiene, may be used for the prevention of ophthalmia neonatorum and for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious disease in the care of maternity and infancy...
